The Artist Behind the Experience
Hey there! I'm John Grayson Henderson—but most people call me JG.
I am a Mississippi native, born and raised in a loving Christian family where creativity, faith, hard work, and caring for others were always at the center of our home. Much of who I am today was shaped by the people who poured into me, especially my mother, whose incredible talent, creativity, and passion for design inspired me from an early age. Watching her create beautiful things and serve others through her gifts played a meaningful role in shaping my own journey as a designer.
For as long as I can remember, creativity has been a part of who I am. I have always been drawn to the details that make ordinary moments feel extraordinary—the beauty of a thoughtfully designed space, the emotion behind a meaningful celebration, and the way intentional details can bring people together.
My journey into floral design began with a love for artistry, but it quickly became something much deeper. Flowers became my way of telling stories. Every bloom, texture, color, and composition has the ability to create emotion, capture a feeling, and transform a moment into a lasting memory.
As my passion for design continued to grow, so did my desire to create complete experiences. Today, I combine floral artistry, event styling, and creative direction to bring celebrations to life in a way that feels personal, refined, and unforgettable.
My creative perspective is also deeply influenced by my background in music. As a professionally trained violinist, I learned the importance of rhythm, balance, emotion, and composition. Those same principles guide the way I approach design—creating harmony through color, texture, movement, and atmosphere.
When I am not designing unforgettable experiences, you can usually find me enjoying the things that inspire me most. I am a self-proclaimed coffee addict, a chocolate lover, and someone who never turns down a good Hallmark Christmas movie. I love traveling and anything involving flying (yes, I genuinely love being on an airplane!), discovering beautiful places, enjoying great food, and finding gluten-free friendly restaurants wherever I go.
But above all, I value people and connection. I believe the most meaningful celebrations are built around relationships, stories, and moments that matter. When you choose to work with JGH, you are not just hiring a designer—you are welcoming someone who truly cares about bringing your vision to life and becoming part of your story.
